About Me

Wednesday Afternoon Picnic is run by me, Will Eells.

I am a freelance writer and aspiring Japanese translator with a particular interest in contemporary and postmodern fiction. I have written for Three Percent and the Chin Music Press blog.

I'm obviously a huge fan of Haruki Murakami, but I'm also obsessed with Genichiro Takahashi and non-Japanese writers like David Foster Wallace, Cesar Aira, Kevin Brockmeier, and lately, Alejandro Zambra. I try to read widely and across cultures but it's a big wide world out there. I'm also big into music and TV, but that doesn't really come up here.

You can email me at wednesdayafternoonpicnic (at sign) gmail (dot) com. I'd probably love to write for you.

I am also on Twitter and Goodreads.
